Just a few months ago I received a mail from one of my subscribers describing launching of his new site. He was really very excited and thought that this site really bring him a handful of money. When I visited his site I was also surprised by the creative designing, easy and quick navigation, graphics, etc. but what I came to know by his second email after some time that he is not earning a single penny.
In fact he has not earned that much amount that he spend on developing the site. He was really very upset and sounds dull. What the reasons is that his mind blowing site not earn a single paper money? The answer is his site did not get targeted visitors which really want to buy the products he is offering.
The back bone of internet based business is Traffic. Traffic is first need for success of any e-commerce business. If you don\’t have traffic on your website, you can\’t make even a single penny, no matter how beautiful and attractive your site is. Even if you have the best product in the world but do not have traffic, you cannot make any sale.

The easiest way that I have found to increase targeted website traffic is to focus each website page or blog post on a specific niche in the market. Website traffic is the most important part of any internet business. Without marketing web traffic your website business will not succeed.
It is the number of visitors to a website and the number of pages they visit. Also, it is the amount of data sent and received. Website traffic is the most important component of profitability for most Web businesses, so people are willing to pay you a premium to redirect some of the traffic in their direction.
Search engine optimization is another way to get free traffic to your site. You will need to know how they work so you might have to study up. Search for free link exchange directories and programs. Research and locate sites that offer similar or complementary products or services and request a link to your site in exchange for one from yours.

You set up your first blog and post witty informative everyday, but after 3 weeks, you are still not getting any meaningful traffic. What can you do to generate traffic for a brand new blog? Try these ten tips to develop traffic.
1. Visit forums that are related to the subject of your blog. Reply to at least eight postings each day. Include a signature file that includes your blog URL on each item you post.
2. Every time you add a new post on your blog, ping the major blog directories.
3. Make sure your blog is optimized. Submit your blog to the major search engines to make sure that their spiders visit your site on a regular basis.
4. Read and comment on at least 5 other blogs each day. Don\’t just say, \’Nice blog\’ or \’Good post.\’ Leave meaningful comments that have some substance. Make sure you leave your blog address on each comment you enter.
5. Submit your blog to the large blog directories.

There are many ways to get free traffic to your website, but the method that I use beats all the traditional methods hands down - and best of all…it\’s free!
I have used all forms of advertising, but most of the good forms of advertising have cost money. Like all business owners, we have to analyze our investments and try to cut cost in order to receive a larger return on our investments.
Now, your probably wondering what I could possibly be doing to bring traffic to my website without spending a dime on advertising. Well, you\’re looking at it. Do you see it yet? I am writing an article. It\’s absolutely that simple!
I will write an article about a topic that I know and am comfortable with, and then I will go and submit these articles to various websites on the Internet. Are you worried that websites won\’t accept your article? You shouldn\’t be. This is a win / win situation for all parties involved.
First of all, webmasters love these articles. I have even had webmasters come back to me and ask if I have any more. Why do they do this? Because it helps their search engine rankings by providing visitors to their site good content. After they place your article on their website a portion of their visitors will visit your site. Once you have placed enough of these articles out on the Internet, your traffic will dramatically increase and so will your search engine rankings. I guarantee it!
Maybe your new to the Internet business and don\’t have enough experience to write about anything pertaining to the Internet business. No problem there either. Everyone has some life experience that they can write about. Maybe you\’re a stay at home mom and your good at changing diapers. You better believe that there is a mother to be out there somewhere who is surfing the Internet looking for information on how to change diapers.
Now, your probably not going to be able to write an article about changing diapers and get it listed on a home business website. But there are plenty of websites that will accept an article of this nature and still drive traffic to your business site. I would suggest doing a search on your favorite search engine for \”submit baby articles\” or something of that nature. Be creative, you will never run out of websites willing to accept your article.
After I have completed my article, I will write a short autobiography about myself and include my website address in it. Notice how I have done this at the bottom of this article.
The Internet was created with the intention of providing information to the public. Become an information provider and you will be rewarded beyond your wildest dreams. Remember that the Internet has created more millionaires than any other vessel in history.

If you expect to have a successful online business, you need to drive quality traffic to your site.
Traffic is the key to success for any online home-based business. Unfortunately, most companies fail to share this very important detail when promoting a business opportunity.
What good is a website without any traffic? Without traffic, you don\’t have an online business - plain and simple. If you are not committed to surfing the Internet or paying for leads, depending on your budget, then you should focus your attention on conducting home meetings, conference calls, and meeting new people over the telephone or face to face.
The best place to start driving traffic is through people you know, also known as your warm market (WM) and semi-warm market (SWM). Make a list of your WM and SWM. If you don\’t know too many people, then you need to make meeting new people a priority on your personal development or training schedule. It\’s a good idea to commit to meeting at least 2 new people a day for the new 12 months. Whether you meet them online, in the supermarket or at the gym, is totally up to you. Introduce you WM and SWM prospects to the product and the business. Don\’t decide their fate for them; allow them to make an educated choice based on your enthusiasm and the facts. Be honest and ask each of your prospects to refer at least at least 10 people who may have an interest in the product or the business. Once you begin to generate traffic from your WM, and they become a part of your team, then show them how to build their organization (Duplication)
Remember; don\’t steal your team member\’s referrals. Work with new team members to get their referrals on board. If you keep the referrals for yourself, it will make it more difficult for team members to build their business. Remember, if you are not helping others succeed, your success at the top, if you make it, will be short-lived or very lonely. I\’m sure you would like to know when it\’s ok to keep a referral? A referral is legitimately yours when someone decides that they want to use the product, but they don\’t want to build a business. Don\’t be sneaky; at that point, just ask the person if they mind if you contact their referrals. For example, if you are selling a liquid supplement such as Vemma, you can ask the person, \”Do you know anyone suffering from arthritis, high blood pressure, chronic fatigue, fibromyalgia, etc?\” Most people, unless they were raised by wolves and lived in caves all their lives, know at least two people who can benefit from your product or service. People in your warm market may not want to go into business, but they are more likely to help you out with a few leads if you don\’t vomit you enthusiasm all over them. In other words, be excited, but don\’t act desperate. If youpushyour business on people, they will automatically think it not valuable. There is a clear divide between \’Urgency\’ and \’Pushy\’. Don\’t catch an Attitude, I repeat, \”Don\’t catch and attitude\”. Never burn bridges on the basis of a present \”No\”. A \”No\” today, if treated well, could very well become your millon dollars \”Yes\” in the future. Always thank people for allowing you the opportunity to introduce them to the product and business. Leave prospects with their dignity, and always walk away with your integrity intact. After all, this is democracy and success is a choice we can accept or reject.

This article focuses on the methods that are free because that\’s where most of us live in terms of advertising dollars. Some ways of getting free traffic to your site is by Search Engine Optimization (SEO), surfing for traffic, or getting it passively.
Search Engine Optimization is fine if you don\’t mind spending a lot of time surfing through other members\’ site to earn advertising credits to display your site to other members. Although it is free, it is not targeted. So if you are trying to promote health and wellness, for example, you are not necessarily getting people to take a serious look at your site.
